Google UX Design Certifications
My career has always been in the tech. space and user experience has always been on the fringe of customer experience and success. When I first embarked on the tech. scene I was the UX designer - but this was at a time with no fancy titles placed behind it. Over time, as I took on new roles I gradually lessened my design responsibilities for more people leadership and strategy responsibilities.
However, there has always lingered a natural gravitation for design in where I found myself. For instance, how a presentation looked - how customer materials should be polished - the simplicity yet powerful impact of board decks - and the continual pursuit for UI perfection, optimal workflows in the software or app, and constant feedback loops with customers.
So, I decided to honor this part of myself and begin the journey to obtain accreditation from Google in UX design, a 6-month program that certifies in:
Identify UX Pain Points with Empathy Maps in Miro
Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design
Start the UX Design Process: Empathize, Define, and Ideate
Build Wireframes and Low-Fidelity Prototypes

Nurturing Smiles in the Community
In the COVID pandemic I started Ryse and Shine, a not-for-profit initiative specifically aimed at inflating joy back into the community. No one can resist a smile when there is a balloon around. So, I took to learning all things about balloons and embarked on a journey to create one-of-a-kind balloon pieces - delivered them - and, in some cases, installed them. From customized 3-foot birthday balloons for celebrating sweet 16’s … making a 9-foot milkshake and Christmas tree for holiday events for children… enriching a charity event with a 12-foot balloon reading tree … invoking wonder with a 16-foot hot air ballon made from balloons … to the simple request in curating balloon wreaths for locals celebrating new life.

Expanding in Neuroscience and Psychology
I've always held the belief that a career has the potential to be incredibly enriching. This conviction led me to venture into the tech startup world back in 2009, where I founded an award-winning algorithm platform. The aim? To empower individuals to harness the power of their inherent behavioral dimensions, guiding them toward roles and tasks where they would naturally thrive. My mission was clear: to help people and organizations thrive collaboratively.
You see, my fascination lies in the factors that influence career fulfillment, enlightenment, and growth. I'm a firm believer that stagnation isn't our destiny in various aspects of life, especially in our careers. Now, you might be wondering, "Where is all of this leading, Bridgette?" Well, since 2009, I've been on a continuous quest for knowledge in the realms of psychology and neuroscience, focusing on understanding ourselves and others within the context of work and career. It's a lifelong project that I am wholeheartedly committed to.
And here's the latest chapter in my journey: Positive Intelligence, a concept founded by Shirzad Chamine. It's an exciting addition to my exploration, and I can't wait to share more about it with you!
